"You’re ugly with your hair"; "You look really dirty"; "You look like a monkey" , all of these sentences are real comments received by girls aged 11 to 15 during puberty. Having body hair at puberty is normal. But being bullied is not.
To stand up for this belief, we are launching #MeleToiDeTesPoils (#MindYourHair). A TikTok account where every young girl can come and ask questions about body hair, in an educational space aimed at fighting hair-related bullying.
